UP horror : Speeding car runs over worker at toll booth to avoid payment

UP horror : In a horrific and spine-chilling incident, a speeding car ran over a worker at a toll booth to avoid payment. 

The harrowing incident unfolded at the Delhi-Lucknow highway in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur and has been captured on the CCTV camera of the toll booth in Chhijarsi late Thursday night. 

The CCTV footage revealed that the toll worker was walking across the vehicle lane when a speeding car suddenly zooms in and strikes him from behind. 

The car's high speed caused the worker to be thrown into the air and land on the car's bonnet as it speeds through the toll booth. 

Officials reported that the man was trampled by the car after it passed through the booth. 

The injured toll worker was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains critical. Police have initiated an investigation and are currently searching for the driver of the car.

This dreadful incident raised concerns about the safety of toll booth workers and the increasing number of cases where drivers attempt to evade toll payments. 

Authorities are now considering implementing stricter security measures at toll booths to prevent such occurrences in the future.

As the investigation continues, the public is urged to provide any information that may assist the police in capturing the culprit responsible for this reckless act.
