PTC News Desk: In a bizarre incident, CID has launched investigation into the Samosa row in Himachal Pradesh. Snacks and cakes intended for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were rather served to his security staff prompting CID to launch the probe. Officials have deemed this incident as anti-India.
According to the information, CM Sukhu had reached CID headquarters to attend an event. Subsequently, three boxes of Samosas were brought from Hotel Radisson Blue as a refreshment that was later served to the security staff.
However, the Congress party has refused CID investigation into the matter and said that the agency is conducting probe on its own accord. "The government did not order any such investigation, and it has nothing to do with this matter. The CID is investigating the matter at its own level. After all, who was given the refreshments served to the Chief Minister?," Naresh Chauhan, the chief media advisor to Sukhu said.
Chauhan also further slammed the saffron party for unnecessarily exaggerating the issue for political gains. "Because the BJP does not have any issues, hence false propaganda is being done against the Congress government through this issue," he added.
Following the incident, BJP slammed Congress government for allegedly ordering CID probe claiming that Congress party is rather more concerned about CM's samosas rather than state's development.
