Shah Rukh Khan death threat accused arrested from Chhattisgarh

The death threat was issued to Shah Rukh Khan after a slew of threats to his fellow actor Salman Khan in a long standing feud with Lawrence Bishnoi.

A man who issued death threat to Bollywwod actor Shah Rukh Khan earlier this month has been apprehended from Chhatitsgarh. The accused has been identified as Faizan Khan who also demanded a ransom of Rs 50 Lakhs. 


Bandra police registered an extortion case following the death threat. The death threat was issued to Shah Rukh Khan after a slew of threats to his fellow actor Salman Khan in a long standing feud with Lawrence Bishnoi. During the preliminary investigation, the call was traced to Chhattisgarh prompting the investigation team to reach launch manhunt in the state.


Police found out that the number from which the threat call was made is registered in the name of Faizan Khan wh is a advocate. During the interrogation, Faizan claimed that he had lodged a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan for causing enmity between two religious groups and that he being thrown under the bus. He also told the police that he had lost his phone on November 2 and had lodged a complaint. Faizan said the threat call made from his number was a conspiracy against him.


As per the police, the caller said, “I am calling Shah Rukh Khan from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me Rs 50 lakh, I will kill him." When asked about his motive, the caller said, “It doesn’t matter, if you want to mention, you can write my name as Hindustani."
