Several states to experience heavy rainfall, hailstorm for next few days: IMD
Weather update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in isolated regions of North-West India, Central India, South India, East-India and North-East India. According to the forecast, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh are expected to witness hailstorms on May 1 and 3.
Meanwhile, light to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu divisions during the next five days. The weather department also issued an orange alert in Shimla and some parts of Himachal Pradesh for increased rainfall activity after May 1 and 2.

"Heavy rainfall very likely in isolated regions of North-West India, Central India, South India, East-India and North-East India. Hailstorm very likely in isolated regions of North-West India, Central, Eastern and Western of India," the India Meteorological Department stated on Sunday.
As per the forecast, Southern states of India are expected to witness very heavy rainfall.
As per the weather forecast by IMD, heat wave conditions are unlikely to happen in India for the next five days and maximum temperature is likely to be below normal to near normal in these days.
