Eyewitness and neighbour Paras stated, "This was an old banquet hall that had fallen. It fell at 3 p.m. Paras escaped the scene after seeing the incident. His child also received bruises.
Some repair work was being done in the building's rear, and it was found that several persons had been buried as a result of the collapse.
The NDRF team also arrived at the scene. Further information is awaited.
Earlier, two individuals sustained injuries in Delhi's Dichaon region when the wall of an MCD school collapsed on them, along with an uprooted tree, due to heavy rains.
The incident occurred on Friday.
"Due to heavy rain, an old and big Neem tree got uprooted and fell on the MCD school wall and this uprooted tree along with school wall fell on the riders of two motorcycles, who were under the tree to save themselves from rain," according to a police report.
The injured were identified as Rajesh (25) and Ashok Kumar Yadav (32) and were taken to the Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital via PCR. Both motorcycles were damaged during the incident.
