PTC Web Desk: The Mumbai Police have denied reports that a man detained on Friday was involved in the attack on Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence. Earlier visuals had shown the man being escorted to the Bandra police station, sparking speculation that he might be connected to the stabbing incident. Initial sources had suggested a possible link, but this has now been ruled out.

A senior police officer clarified on Friday afternoon that the person brought in for questioning had no connection to the Saif Ali Khan case. The officer confirmed that no one has been detained or arrested in connection with the attack.

The man responsible for attacking the actor early Thursday morning was reportedly seen near Bandra railway station. The police believe he may have changed his clothes, then boarded a train heading out of the city. To track him down, the Mumbai police have deployed 20 teams and are focusing on areas such as Vasai and Nalasopara in Palghar district. Despite gathering technical data and utilising their informer network, the police have yet to make a breakthrough, even 36 hours after the attack.
