Rohtak medical college doctor arrested for kidnapping and assaulting student

PTC News Desk: One of the resident doctors in the anatomy department of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a dental student. After making an arrest, the police filed a case. The attack happened on Friday.
Virendra Singh, the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Rohtak, said in an interview with India Today TV that a first-year BDS student from PGIMS filed a complaint last night, claiming that she had been abducted and beaten.

A video of the incident has surfaced on social media platform X, in which the girl is seen sobbing and displaying the injuries she sustained in the assault.
She said in the video that she had been the victim of an assault for the previous seven months. She added that if she brought up the matter with the administration, the accused threatened to reduce her attendance.
This episode occurs in the midst of widespread demonstrations by medical professionals around the country following the horrific rape and killing of a trainee physician at a government-run hospital in Kolkata.
