Renowned educationist Awadh Ojha joins AAP ahead of Delhi assembly elections

PTC News Desk: Renowned educationist Awadh Ojha has joined Aam Aadmi Party in presence of party convener Arvind Kejriwal.  The development comes ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.  

He was welcomed to the party fold by AAP national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Upon joining the party he thanked Arvind Kejriwal along with entire leadership for giving him the opportunity to work in education field while navigating through politics. 

Kejriwal said Ojha not only gave education to youngsters but also prepared them for employment opportunities. He added that Awadh Ojha's entry into politics will benefit the education of the country, helping with the country's development at large. 

Who is Awadh Ojha ?

Awadh Ojha is the most celebrated educationist of the nation. Having served as UPSC coach, he is also a famour youtuber and educator. He hails from the Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh. 

After failing to crack UPSC exam Awads Ojha decided to not pursue for exam preparations further. Instead he decided to take up teaching job. He started teaching history at coaching centres. His teaching specifically gained momentum during Covid period when physically classes were called off nad he continued his teaching through online mode. He gained significant popularity owing to his teachings and is fondly known as 'Ojha Sir' by students. 

In an interview, Ojha claimed: "After being thrown out of the house, I got a chance to teach history in a coaching. But I did not know how to teach. However, I gave coaching here and thus began teaching."

After teaching at many prominent coaching centres, he came to Delhi in 2005 and started his own coaching institute in Mukherjee Nagar of Delhi. He is widely popular amongst students because of his unique teaching methods which combine historical events, geopolitical trends, and current affairs.
