Announcing his passing, N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, expressed profound grief, highlighting Tata’s contributions to both the Tata Group and the nation. "It is with a deep sense of loss that we say goodbye to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a leader whose legacy extends far beyond the boardroom. He was a mentor, guide, and a friend, inspiring by example with his dedication to excellence, integrity, and innovation," Chandrasekaran said.
Tributes to Ratan Tata poured in from across the nation, including from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who described him as a "visionary leader" and "compassionate soul." Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared that Tata's absence was difficult to accept, while Gautam Adani called him a legend whose legacy will endure.
