Happiness prevailed in a family of five sisters after they met with their brother, who went missing over 17 years ago, ahead of Raksha Bandhan in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district.

The man Pankaj Suryavanshi (now 32 years old), a resident Bahi Parasnath village in the district, went missing from his house on November 7, 2005. Pankaj is the third child among the siblings in the family.

According to the family members, Pankaj had gone for hair cutting by carrying Rs 5 with him and did not return. The family searched for him but he was not found anywhere. After that a missing complaint was registered at Pipariya mandi police station in the district.

Recently, on August 28, the missing man found, though it was difficult to inquire about the man as he is a little deranged, he has hearing and speaking problems.

It was quite an old case; many officials were changed but the police investigated the details about him in the old records and with the help of various police stations in the state. He was searched and handed over to the family. The family is quite happy now, police said.

Pankaj’s sisters stated that she was very happy that she got her lost brother.
