Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi denied entry into Sambhal, Congress workers clash with police

Heavy chaos erupted while disrupting the traffic at the site where congress workers clashed with police who blocked the highway preventing the leaders to from travelling further.

Security measures have been stepped up in the wake of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's scheduled visit to violence hit Sambhal. The Congress leaders were stopped while they were on their way at Ghazipur border between Delhi and Noida. 


Heavy chaos erupted while disrupting the traffic at the site where congress workers clashed with police who blocked the highway preventing the leaders to from travelling further. Party workers were seen attempting to climb over the barricades.


Meanwhile the authorities in Sambhal have also urged the neighbouring districts to stop the convoy of Congress leaders from entering into district.  The District Magistrate has written to officers in Bulandshahr, Amroha, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar and officials are also instructed to keep a watch on Rahul Gandhi's activities on his way to violence-hit district.


Barricades in large numbers have been installed and rigorous vehicle examination is unerway on the Delhi-Sambhal route. Massive traffic jams were reported at different points on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
