Helicopter crash Pune: Three persons tragically lost their lives after a helicopter crashed in Bavdhan, near Pune, shortly after taking off Wednesday morning. It remains unclear whether the aircraft was government or privately owned. The helicopter was carrying two pilots and an engineer at the time of the accident.
According to the police in Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad, the crash occurred in a hilly area around 6.:45 am. "A helicopter crashed in the Bavdhan area of Pune district. Based on initial reports, three persons are feared dead. We are still working to determine the ownership of the helicopter," stated Senior Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat.
Local media outlets indicated that the helicopter had taken off from the helipad at Oxford Golf Club, and dense fog in the area may have contributed to the crash. A rescue operation is currently underway.
