Baba Siddique murder case: Police arrests accused from Punjab, 15 so far

Mumbai police in a joint operation with Punjab Police has arrested a 32-year-old man from Punjab's Ludhiana in connection with the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique.

PTC News Desk: In a major breakthrough, Mumbai police in a joint operation with Punjab Police has arrested a 32-year-old man from Punjab's Ludhiana in connection with the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique. The accused has been identified as Sujit Sushil Singh. Till now, 15 people have been arrested in the Baba Siddique murder case. 


Earlier on Thursday, the Mumbai Police arrested an accused named Amit Hisamsing Kumar from Haryana, and Rupesh Rajendra Mohol (22), Karan Rahul Salve (19) and Shivam Arvind Kohad were nabbed from Pune.


The other nine accused arrested were presented befoe a court and remanded till October 26. According to the police, based on secet intel, the accused was arrested from Sunder Nagar area in Ludhiana and was brought to Jamalpur police station from where he was taken to Mumbai. Sujeet was involved in the murder conspiracy and was informed about the plan to kill Baba Siddique three days in advance by Nitin Gautan Sapre-another accused. He also provided logistical assistance. 


Baba Siddique was shot dead by three shooters on October 12 outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai.
