PM Modi virtually inaugurates 15 airport projects from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 15 airport projects, including the unveiling of 12 new terminal buildings, during his visit to Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
The event marked a significant milestone for Azamgarh, with PM Modi highlighting the town's rising prominence. In his address, he reflected on the transformational journey, remarking, "Azamgarh's star is shining today." He juxtaposed the town's current standing with its past, noting the shift from being a mere attendee at events held in Delhi to now hosting national-level gatherings.
The inauguration ceremony wasn't limited to Azamgarh alone but encompassed projects spanning across the country, with a cumulative investment exceeding ₹9,800 crore. PM Modi emphasized the need to perceive these developments beyond electoral lenses, urging the audience to view them as essential strides towards national progress.
In his vision for India's future, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to swift and inclusive development. He stressed the imperative of accelerating development initiatives to realize the collective aspiration of a fully developed India by 2047.

The 12 newly constructed terminals are poised to collectively accommodate 620 lakh passengers annually. Additionally, upon the completion of the three forthcoming terminals, the total passenger capacity is expected to rise to 95 lakh per year, as per an official government statement.
These terminals are equipped with state-of-the-art passenger facilities and incorporate sustainable features such as insulated roofing systems, energy-efficient canopies, and LED lighting. Inspired by local heritage, the designs aim to encapsulate the rich culture and history of the respective state and city, the statement added.
Subsequently, at approximately 2:15 PM, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Varanasi to oversee the distribution of the inaugural instalment under the Mahatari Vandana Yojana in Chhattisgarh via video conferencing.
