PM Modi in Ayodhya: Amid the festive air in Ayodhya and the euphoria around the consecration of the grand Ram Temple on January 22 next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flag off Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains among other projects at revamped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station.

Moreover, PM Modi also inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.
Many dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, VK Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and Bharatiya Janata Party State President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh are present on both the historic inaugurations.
Narendra Modi received a thunderous welcome as he landed in the holy city of Ayodhya, with people showering flowers as he took a lap of honour on his way to inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya Dham Airport
About Revamped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station
Redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station - known as Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station - is developed at a cost of more than Rs 240 crore. The three-storey modern railway station building is equipped with all modern features like lifts, escalators, food plazas, shops for puja needs, cloakrooms, child care rooms, and waiting halls. The station building will be 'accessible for all' and an 'IGBC-certified green station building'.
About Amrit Bharat Trains
Amrit Bharat is a new category of superfast passenger trains, equipped with the LHB push-pull feature. However, these trainscome with non-air-conditioned coaches.
This train has locos at both ends for better acceleration. It provides improved facilities for rail passengers, like beautifully designed seats, better luggage racks, mobile charging points with suitable mobile holders, LED lights, CCTV, and a public information system, among others.
The new Amrit Bharat trains that will ply as Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express.
About Vande Bharat Trains
The Vande Bharat trains to be flagged off include Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express; Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express; Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express; Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express; Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express and Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express.
About Ayodhya Airport
The newly developed Ayodhya Airport benefits the air connectivity by facilitating air services to the pilgrims visiting Shri Ram Mandir along with famous nearby pilgrim destinations like Ram ki Paidi, Hanuman Garhi, Nageshwar Nath Temple, Birla Temple etc.
The development of Ayodhya Airport will also facilitate businesses and pilgrimage tourism throughout the year and will improve the overall economy of the region.
The airport has been developed at Rs 350 Crore, which includes the construction of the Terminal Building, ATC Tower, Fire Station, Car parking and Allied city-side infrastructure. The airport has a runway length of 2200m and would be suitable for the operation of A-321 type of Aircraft.
The new airport also serves as a Gateway for pilgrims and tourists and gives impetus to the overall growth of the region.
Moreover, the airport has been designed keeping in mind the history and importance of Ayodhya. The structure of the terminal building is inspired by the architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya.
The interiors of the building are decorated with local artefacts, paintings and murals depicting the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram. The terminal building is also decorated with many Shikharas adding grandeur to the structure and creating an ambience of spirituality.
Prime Minister Modi has broadly outlined his vision to develop modern, world-class infrastructure in Ayodhya, improve connectivity and revamp its civic facilities while also conforming to the rich history and heritage of the city. In realisation of this vision, a new airport, a new redeveloped railway station, newly redeveloped, widened and beautified roads, and other civic infrastructure are being inaugurated in the city.
