PTC News Desk: Renowned veteran singer Pankaj Udhas, aged 73, passed away on the morning of February 26. His team confirmed the news, stating that he had been battling a prolonged illness and had been unwell for the past few days. He breathed his last around 11 am at Breach Candy Hospital, as disclosed to media.
In a heartfelt statement, his daughter, Nayaab Udhas, conveyed the family's grief, announcing, "With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness. Udhas family (sic)."
Pankaj Udhas was a stalwart in the realm of Indian ghazal singing, captivating audiences with his soulful renditions for decades. Born on May 17, 1951, in Gujarat, he embarked on his musical journey at a tender age, rising to prominence during the 1980s and 1990s.
