Opposition MPs walk out of Rajya Sabha amid sloganeering, PM claims they 'cannot face truth'
During his speech in the Rajya Sabha, the prime minister criticised the opposition for trying to "black out" the NDA's win in the Lok Sabha elections.
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a stinging attack on the opposition for trying to "black out" the NDA's win in the Lok Sabha elections, claiming that a government has held power for three terms in a row in 60 years.
PM Modi observed, "The government has completed 10 years, it has 20 more years to go," during the Rajya Sabha debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President's address on Wednesday. There are attempts to conceal the nation's citizens' decision-making."
Similar to his remarks in the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister displayed his most aggressive side during his speech in the Rajya Sabha, when opposition members were continuously chanting "LoP ko bolne do (let the Leader of Opposition speak)".
Prime Minister Modi expressed his amazement at the way some opponents of Constitution Day continued to wave the document during the recent session of Parliament.
During the oath ceremony of newly-elected parliamentarians last month, opposition MPs Rahul Gandhi of the Congress and a few others hoisted a copy of the Constitution.
"Our Constitution provides us with direction and serves as a lighthouse. Both its words and its spirit are extremely essential to us, PM Modi added.
WHAT PM MODI SAID IN LOK SABHA
Tuesday's nearly two-hour speech in the Lok Sabha saw Prime Minister Modi accuse the Congress of attempting a "conspiracy to falsely" claim that Hindus were aggressive in response to opposition slogans of "Justice for Manipur" and "Bharat Jodo".
The idea that there is a plot to falsely implicate Hindus is really concerning. There has been talk about Hindus being violent. Do you hold these values? Is this the persona you possess? "Is this your hate for the nation's Hindu population?" he asked.

The Prime Minister's words were interpreted as a response to Rahul Gandhi's speech in the Lok Sabha, wherein he disparaged the BJP and made reference to Hinduism.
Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Modi repeatedly called the Leader of the Opposition a "balak buddhi" (immature mind) throughout his speech.
"This juvenile behavior was observed in the House yesterday. Although we are aware that he is out on bond in a case involving thousands of crores of corruption, this is a new scenario meant to elicit pity. PM Modi stated, "He was found guilty of labeling OBCs thieves and was forced to apologize in front of the Supreme Court for making careless remarks.
