PTC News Desk: The National Investigation Agency carried out searches at multiple locations across Punjab and Haryana as part of its ongoing investigation into the gangster-terror nexus case. The raids were conducted at nine locations spanning across Punjab and Haryana.

The searches commenced on Wednesday early morning covering eight locations in Punjab and one in Haryana following a lead about suspects' presence connected to the case. The operations are reportedly aimed at cracking down on individuals and networks suspected of supporting criminal activities linked to terrorist organisations.

In an extensive crackdown last month, the central agency raided nine locations across Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh with an objective to nab associates of Bambiha syndicate. NIA teams searched Palwal, Faridabad and Gurugram districts of Haryana, Jalandhar district of Punjab, and Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

During operations, the agency seized significant evidence including mobile phones and other digital devices, bank records and property documentation.

According to the central investigative agency, these organisations are linked with terror organisations which are generating funds in abundance to carry out terror activities within India.
