PTC News Desk: Jammu and Kashmir Police's Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing on Tuesday dismantled a newly formed terror group called Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim (TLM). The group was busted after multiple raids across several districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to authorities, TLM is an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which is reportedly being operated under the guidance of a Pakistani handler, identified by the alias 'Baba Hamas'.

The sweep raids took place in the districts of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Kulgam, Budgam, Anantnag, and Pulwama. According to the authorities, the primary goal was to neutralise a recruitment module within the TLM that was aggressively recruiting young men for militant operations. The group is said to be responsible for an upsurge in recruiting.

The operation comes in the aftermath of a terror attack in Ganderbal area, which killed seven people. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that two foreign terrorists, possibly infiltrators from the Bandipora district in North Kashmir, were involved in the Ganderbal attack.

Preliminary investigations reveal that, despite its recent formation, TLM has ideological and logistical ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba, one of the region's most active terror groups. The group was being formed by 'Baba Hamas,' a well-known Pakistani handler with close ties to global terror networks. According to sources, his role was to manage TLM's cross-border infiltration, finance, and recruitment strategies.

The raids took place when intelligence revealed the TLM's broad network across the Kashmir valley. According to officials, the operation was carefully planned to target key operatives involved in the recruitment and mobilisation of new recruits.
