PTC News Desk: A group of monkeys allegedly stopped a man from sexually assaulting a six-year-old in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat. According to media reports, the incident occurred on Saturday, when the accused led the youngster to an abandoned home in the city.

According to The Times of India, the victim, a UKG student, told her family about the incident and how the monkeys had saved her.

According to the victim's father, she was playing outdoors when the accused led her to an abandoned house. He then removed her clothes and attempted to sexually abuse her. However, a bunch of monkeys fiercely attacked the man, forcing him to run.

"The man was spotted on neighbouring CCTV footage walking down a narrow road with my daughter. He has yet to be identified. He also told my child that he would kill me. My daughter would have died by now if the monkeys hadn't intervened," the girl's father said.

After the incident, the victim's parents filed a complaint with the nearby police station.

According to Baghpat Circle officer Harish Bhadoria, the police have filed a FIR against the accused under BNS sections 74 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 76 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) and the Pocso Act.
