'Molestation' case: Ex-Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh refuses to undergo lie detector test
PTC Web Desk: Former Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh, who is facing molestation case, has refused to undergo the lie detector/polygraph test. This has been conveyed to the court by his lawyer Deepak Sabharwal. The alleged molestation case was registered against him in 2022.
Sandeep Singh submitted a detailed reply of the application filed by the Chandigarh Police seeking permission for conducting his lie detector test/polygraph test before a local court.
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of the Chandigarh Police submitted before the court that that the lie detector/polygraph test of the minister was needed to bring out true facts. Sandeep's claims are reportedly contradicting the statements given by the victim.
A woman coach had in December last alleged that the minister had molested her at his official residence in Sector 7, Chandigarh.
Sandeep Singh, however, rejected these allegations against him and said it aimed at tarnishing his image.
Sandeep Singh submitted before the court that "he is fully cooperating in the investigation of this case, but he is not giving consent for the lie-detector test".
