PTC Web Desk: Abhay Singh, a former aerospace engineering student from IIT Bombay, who quit a high-paying career to pursue spirituality, has denied reports that he "disappeared" from the Juna Akhara's ashram during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, as reported by India Today.

Abhay Singh, who became widely known for simplifying complex spiritual concepts using diagrams and visual presentations, rejected the claims of his alleged disappearance and clarified that he was asked to leave the 16 Madi Ashram by its operators.

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Abhay Singh explained, "The operators of the Madi Ashram asked me to leave at night. They believe I’ve become famous and might expose something about them, so they claim I’ve gone for secret meditation. Those claims are nonsense," asserting that he was still present at the religious gathering.

Singh also addressed accusations from fellow seers suggesting that his mental health had deteriorated due to constant media attention. They further alleged that Singh was consuming drugs and that it was "best for him" to leave the ashram. He strongly rejected these allegations, stating, “They should know more than me to give me a certificate,” and questioned their authority to comment on his mental health.

Abhay Singh also responded to claims from seer Someshwar Puri of the Juna Akhara, who had referred to him as his disciple. Singh clarified, “I had already told him there is no guru-disciple relationship between us. Now that I’ve become famous, he’s made himself my guru.”

Haryana-born Abhay Singh had previously lived in Canada for three years, where he earned Rs 3 lakh per month. Despite his success, Singh revealed that he struggled with depression during his time in Canada, which led him to question the role of the mind and search for a deeper meaning in life. This search for purpose prompted him to leave his promising engineering career and embark on a spiritual journey.
