Lawrence Bishnoi gang's shooter Sukha arrested from Panipat, was given contract to kill Salman Khan
Sukha Kaluya was nabbed in a joint operation by Navi Mumbai police and Haryana Police.
PTC News Desk: In a big success for law enforcement agencies, a shooter of Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been arrested from Haryana's Panipat. The accused is identified as Sukha Kaluya. Sukha was nabbed in a joint operation by Navi Mumbai police and Haryana Police. Notably, the arrested accused was given a contract to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan. According to the reports, Kaluya had conducted a recce of the actor's house Panvel before shots were fired at his Bandra apartment in April.
Earlier, on April 14th, two shooters fired five rounds outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. During the investigation Mumbai Police revealed that the shooters were in close association of Lawrence Bishnoi, and Sukha was one of those shooters who however managed to flee the spot. After a long trail police eventually nabbed Sukha from Panipat in a joint operation of Haryana and Maharashtra police.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had previously issued threats to Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan, following the 1998 poaching incident where the actor was accused of killing a blackbuck while filming a movie in Rajasthan. The blackbuck holds significant reverence in the Bishnoi community.
In light of the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan, security measures at the actor's home, Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai's Bandra area, have been intensified. Siddique had a strong connection with Salman Khan, who has previously received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and its associates.
