The house belongs to the Pawars. And what is interesting is the fact that besides paying property tax to both states for years, the family has the privilege of availing the benefits of both states . They even have vehicles with registration numbers of both Maharashtra and Telangana. This all must be sounding strange, but it is true.

Notably, four rooms of the Pawars' house come inside Telangana while four are in Maharashtra. Their kitchen is in Telangana while the bedroom and hall are in Maharashtra. A total of 13 members of the families of two brothers — Uttam Pawar and Chandu Pawar — have been living in this 10-room house for years.
After the dispute on the border issue was finally settled in 1969, the Pawar family's land was divided into Maharashtra and Telangana, though no issues have surfaced so far and the family pays taxes in both states.
