J&K encounter: 5 terrorist killed, 2 soldiers injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district

PTC News Desk: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district killing five terrorists while two soldiers were also injured.
Soon after receiving inputs from intelligence about the presence of suspected terrorists at Kadder in the Behibagh area of the district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation.
In a post on X, the Army's Chinar Corps said, “On 19 December 24, based on specific intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army & Jammu and Kashmir Police at Kader, Kulgam. Suspicious activity was observed by vigilant troops, and on being challenged, terrorists opened indiscriminate and heavy volume of fire. Our own troops effectively retaliated."
here have been a significant rise in the terror cases in Jammu and Kashmir. Nearly eight out of the ten districts came under the impact. These incidents have claimed 44 lives, including 18 security personnel, 14 civilians, and 13 militants.
