Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier killed in action, Pakistani national dies during Kupwara encounter
During a gunfight on Saturday along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara region of Jammu & Kashmir, three army troops were hurt.
PTC News Desk: According to PTI, three army men were hurt on Saturday during a firefight in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir's Line of Control (LoC).
According to reports, the event happened in the Trehgam area of the north Kashmir district, close to the Kumkadi post.

In the past month, Kupwara has seen four encounters.
In the Kupwara district earlier on Wednesday, security forces and terrorists exchanged gunfire, resulting in the death of one terrorist and the injuries of one non-commissioned officer (NCO). The Army claimed in a post on X that the exchange started after it and the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint search operation on Tuesday in response to a specific tip about the presence of terrorists.
Two terrorists were slain by the army on July 14 after they thwarted another attempt at infiltration in the Keran area of Kupwara, and three more terrorists were killed on July 14.
Days after two gunfights in the Kupwara district, General Upendra Dwivedi, the chief of army staff, visited the Line of Control on Thursday. Dwivedi visited the advanced posts, assessed the security situation, spoke with the troopers and officers stationed on the LoC, and gave them appreciation for overcoming security obstacles.
"General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, inspected the security conditions along the Line of Control (LOC) and visited the forward areas of Chinar Corps. Additionally, he communicated with the ground soldiers and commanders. Army's Chinar Corps wrote on X, "#COAS praised All Ranks for upholding high standards of professionalism & urged them to remain steadfast in meeting emerging #security challenges."
