Jai Shri Ram | Ram Lalla idol arrives at Ayodhya Temple ahead of consecration ceremony, watch visuals
Ram Lalla idol arrives at Ayodhya Temple: Ahead of the highly-awaited 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony which is scheduled to take place on January 22, the idol of Ram Lalla reached the Ayodhya temple late Wednesday evening and was lifted using a crane to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum today.
The Ram Lalla idol has been crafted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, which weighs approximately 150-200 kg. Arun Yogiraj’s unwavering loyalty and love for Lord Rama are exemplified by his iconic and perfect idol to be placed in the shrine despite he braved pain in the eye due to an injury and endured sleepless nights.
A procession accompanied the idol on a truck to the temple, where the crane facilitated its placement. The procession made a symbolic stop at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya during its journey.
Meanwhile, prior to bringing the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya Temple, a special puja was performed in the auspicious sanctum sanctorum. The installation of idol is expected to take place on Thursday followed by special puja and echoes of ‘Jai Shri Ram-Sitaram’ all across Ayodhya.
