Intel: Farmers' protest 2.0 uses 6 months' ration, gurdwaras, ashrams as hideouts
PTC News Desk: According to intelligence findings on the farmers' protest 2.0, the less accessible borders of Delhi are potential entry points for the demonstrators.
Protesters from Haryana and Punjab are set to march towards Delhi, with over 200 farmers' unions participating in the 'Delhi Chalo' movement to press for demands such as guaranteed minimum support prices (MSP). Thousands of farmers marching towards Delhi assert readiness for the long journey, equipped with ample ration and diesel to sustain for months, amidst sealed borders hindering their entry into the national capital.
The report notes that from Punjab alone, 1,500 tractors and 500 vehicles are mobilised, stocked with six months' worth of provisions. After an inconclusive meeting between farmer leaders and Union ministers, the protest proceeded as planned, targeting entry points like Shambhu Border (Ambala), Khanori (Jind), and Dabwali (Sirsa).
Before the protest, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leaders toured several states to garner support. Tractors have been adapted for shelter, indicating prolonged demonstrations.
