PTC Web Desk: An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bagdogra has been delayed for more than two hours at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital due to a technical snag caused by high ground temperatures.

The aircraft is parked on the tarmac, and the IndiGo crew has stated that the flight was delayed due to a technical issue.

Bagdogra Airport is located near Siliguri, West Bengal. The flight was scheduled to take off at 2:10 p.m. and land at 4:10 p.m. FlightRadar24, an online flight tracking platform, shows the flight parked on the tarmac at IGI airport.

"Delhi and Bagdogra was delayed due to high ground temperatures impeding operations. IndiGo prioritises passenger safety above all else and is taking steps to enable a prompt departure. Passengers are being provided with regular updates and we regret the inconvenience caused due to factors beyond the airline's control," IndiGo stated.

Notably, the incident occurred on the same day that Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) reported a power outage, disrupting domestic and international flight operations. The power outage also hampered boarding and check-in at the airport.
