Hyderabad: Allu Arjun's house vandalised by Osmania University students in 'Pushpa 2' stampede case
According to the officials, several members of Osmania University stormed into Telugu actor's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad demanded from the actor to take care of the victim's family from the Pushpa 2 stampede incident.
PTC News Desk: Tension mounted on Sunday evening when several protestors vandalised Allu Arjun's property in Hyderabad. The protestors while carrying placards, raised slogans and pelted stones at the actor's residence.
According to the officials, several members of Osmania University stormed into Telugu actor's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad demanded from the actor to take care of the victim's family from the Pushpa 2 stampede incident.
A video of the incident showed several men storming inside the actor's house and causing damage to the property. Flower pots inside the compound were also destroyed by the group.
Soon after the incident cops intervened and detained eight members of the university's Joint Action Committee (JAC), who were subsequently taken to the Jubilee Hills Police Station.
Notably, Allu Arjun was not present at his residence when the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condemned the attack and directed the police officials to take stringent action regarding law and order.
"I condemn the attack on the homes of film celebrities. I am directing the State DGP and City Police Commissioner to take strict action regarding law and order. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard," Reddy posted on X.
