PTC Web Desk: Devotees visiting Maa Chintpurni temple in Una district of Himachal Pradesh now have the option of a 'VIP darshan' by paying a fee of Rs 1,100 for a group of five. This innovative approach, the first-of-its-kind in the state, allows devotees to bypass the usual queue and enjoy hassle-free access to the temple. The initiative aims to streamline the process, especially during VIP visits, and generate additional revenue for the temple administration.
Exemptions from the fee include ministers, MLAs, MPs, VIPs chosen by the administration, individuals aged 65 and above, as well as differently abled devotees. The newly introduced "Sugam Darshan Pranali" offers a pass for five individuals at a cost of Rs 1,100, facilitating smooth darshan for these devotees. The temple plans to accommodate a total of 500 persons per day through this system.
The temple commissioner-cum-SDM, Amb Vivek Mahajan, outlined the structure of the initiative, with the first category enabling direct darshan for a fee of Rs 1,100. The inclusion of children in this category will be decided by the temple trust. The second and third categories offer complimentary VIP darshan to those aged 65 and above and differently abled individuals, with their accompanying companion paying a nominal fee of Rs 50.
For ministers, MLAs, MPs, and administration-designated VIPs, no fee will be levied. A waiting area has been arranged in Baba Maidas Sadan for devotees falling into these categories. Devotees will be ferried to the temple via an electric golf cart, operated by the temple trust, from a designated sitting area located approximately one km away.
Moreover, the temple premises already provide an online booking option for 'havan' ceremonies. This multi-faceted approach is aimed at enhancing the overall temple experience and accommodating the needs of various devotee groups.
