ALERT: Haryana Police restrict entry of these vehicles beyond Karnal, check here
In a significant blow to commuters of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, Haryana Police implemented stringent measures regarding the operation of old vehicles by restricting the entry of 15-year-old petrol and 10-year-old diesel vehicles beyond Karnal.
As per the statement of Panipat DSP Dharmbir Kharb, “Diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years will no longer be permitted to operate in Panipat.”
Haryana’s new regulation prohibiting the entry of old vehicles in Panipat, will affect travellers from Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh who typically pass through Panipat en route to Delhi via Karnal.
Travellers has been directed to use newer vehicles for their Delhi-bound journey.
