Haryana Nuh violence: Internet ban extended in four districts till August 5

Haryana Nuh violence: Internet services will remain suspended in Nuh, Faridabad, and Palwal districts, as well as three sub-divisions of Gurgaon, Sohna, Pataudi, and Manesar, till August 5.

According to the orders issued by the Haryana Home Secretary, the situation in certain districts remains serious and tense.

Mobile internet services in Haryana's Nuh district were temporarily suspended till August 2 following clashes between two groups on Monday.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court issued notices to Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and governments in the midst of protest marches and demonstrations against the violence in Nuh, Haryana.

The court issued notices on a petition related to the Haryana violence and set the next hearing date for August 4. The top court bench comprised of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti heard the case.

Meanwhile, state home minister Anil Vij stated that social media had a big part in fueling the violence in Nuh and that the state government established a three-member committee tasked with monitoring social media activities beginning July 21.
