Gyanvapi Mosque row:  On the seventh day, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) continues its meticulous scientific survey of the Gyanvapi complex, with both Hindu and Muslim sides reportedly cooperating and complying with the court's directives, as stated by an advocate representing the Hindu party.

Advocate Shubhash Nandan Chaturvedi stated to ANI, "The ASI survey is progressing smoothly and systematically. Both Hindu and Muslim sides are cooperating and adhering to the court's order."

Earlier today, a team from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) arrived at the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi.

The comprehensive scientific survey of the complex, situated adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and excluding the Wuzu Khana area, commenced last Friday in accordance with the Allahabad High Court's ruling. The court's decision granted the ASI the authority to conduct the survey to ascertain whether the 17th-century mosque was erected atop a pre-existing structure of a Hindu temple.

On Thursday, August 3, the Allahabad High Court dismissed the plea filed by the Muslim party, the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee. This plea contested the Varanasi court's verdict that permitted the ASI to carry out a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque premises, excluding the 'Wazukhana' area where a "Shivling" was reportedly discovered last year.
