Gang war in Rohtak: Three youths murdered while sitting at liquor store
Two young people were gravely hurt in a gang battle between the Palotra gang and the badass Rahul Baba.
Gang war in Rohtak: In a shocking incident late at night, five individuals were shot at a liquor stall near Baliana Mor on Sonepat Road, resulting in the deaths of three youths on the spot, while two others remain in critical condition. The shooting has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly in the village of Bohar.
According to police reports, the attack was executed by eight assailants on three motorcycles who targeted a group of five youths sitting at the stall. The victims, identified as Jaideep, Amit Nandal, and Vinay, were pronounced dead upon arrival at PGI after emergency responders rushed them there. The other two victims, Anuj and Manoj, are currently being treated for serious injuries.
Superintendent of Police Himanshu Garg, along with other officials, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Initial investigations indicate that the shooting is linked to an ongoing gang rivalry, with the Rahul Baba Gang claiming responsibility via social media. This gang conflict has raised concerns and panic within the local population.
Witnesses stated that the victims, residents of Bohar village, were enjoying their evening when the assailants opened fire indiscriminately. The incident is believed to be connected to a prior enmity; specifically, a shooting incident that occurred outside a court in 2019 involving a youth from Bohar village, Plotra, who is currently incarcerated for that crime.
SP Garg confirmed that the police are conducting a thorough investigation, emphasizing the need to understand the motive behind this violent act. "We received information about the shooting at the liquor store, which resulted in three fatalities and two serious injuries. The police are diligently looking into the matter," he stated.
Satish Kadayan, in charge of Crime Investigation Branch Two, reiterated that this violence stems from gang-related activity and assured the public that the police are pursuing all leads. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and additional police forces have been deployed in Bohar to maintain order and reassure the community.
As investigations continue, local authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward, as they seek to bring the perpetrators to justice and prevent further violence.
