Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reports 9 injured in Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe bomb blast
PTC News Desk: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has confirmed that the incident at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe was indeed a bomb blast. The explosion, which occurred in the bustling Brookefield area of Bengaluru, resulted in at least nine individuals sustaining injuries.
According to sources briefed by the police to India Today TV, the blast was triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) concealed within a bag strategically placed inside the cafe. Siddaramaiah was informed by the police that CCTV footage captured a man entering the cafe and leaving behind the bag containing the explosive.
Further investigation revealed that the individual who left the bag also obtained a token from the cash counter before departing. Authorities are currently interrogating the cashier for any potential leads.
Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the victims, including cafe staff and a customer, are reported to be non-critical, as confirmed by the Chief Minister. Visuals from the scene depict a flurry of activity, with police personnel, fire officials, and bystanders gathered outside the cafe premises. Forensic experts have also been dispatched to the location to gather evidence.

As a precautionary measure, a bomb disposal squad has been deployed to ensure the safety of the area. Concurrently, law enforcement officials are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to piece together events leading up to the explosion.
With the vicinity cordoned off, the police are diligently conducting an investigation into the incident to ascertain the motives and identify any potential suspects involved.
