Strong earthquake tremors felt in several parts of north India
Chandigarh, March 21: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in India's national capital, Punjab and other surrounding states on Tuesday late evening.
The tremors were felt at around 10: 24 pm, leaving the public in panic.
Strong tremors were also felt in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, forcing people to rush out of their houses.
According to National Centre for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale hit 133km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan today at 10:17 pm IST.
National Center for Seismology stated, "earthquake of Magnitude:6.6, Occurred on 21-03-2023, 22:17:27 IST, Lat: 36.09 & Long: 71.35, Depth: 156 Km, Location: 133km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan."
