'Don't tell mother, she'll be worried': Worker trapped in Uttarkashi tunnel

PTC News Desk: The operation to rescue workers trapped in Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi entered the 7th day on Sunday. One of the trapped workers Pushkar Singh, spoke to his brother Vikram and his primary concern was "Bhai, d,on't tell Ma that I am one of those stuck here." "Mother will be worried if you tell her the truth," the 25-year-old worker told his brother as they spoke on the radio.

The family members are anxiously waiting outside, praying for a breakthrough. The Uttarakhand government decided to provide family members waiting outside the Silkyara Tunnel with lodging, food, and medical care.

 The trapped workers' voices are gradually fading, and rescue efforts were halted on Friday night due to fears of further tunnel collapse. 

The trapped workers are surviving on light foods such as chana, kheer, and badam delivered to them via a pipe.
