The RWFC is responsible for providing weather forecasts for North-West India and the Delhi NCR region. They also shared rain forecasts for Gurugram, which were expected to persist throughout the morning.

On Wednesday, heavy rainfall led to waterlogging in various parts of Gurugram, causing significant inconvenience. The expressway experienced severe congestion due to water accumulation, resulting in a traffic jam extending up to 5 kilometers. Commuters faced substantial delays, and public transportation services were also hindered. Notably, a bus with passengers remained stranded in the waterlogged conditions for over an hour, awaiting relief.

The RWFC had earlier predicted thunderstorm conditions accompanied by light to moderate rain and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph in the adjoining areas of Delhi, including Gurugram. These weather conditions added to the monsoon charm but necessitated caution and preparedness among residents.

Overall, the rain brought relief to Delhi's residents from the scorching heat, offering a pleasant start to the day and a much-needed respite from the prevailing weather conditions.
