Delhi teen stabbed to death by friends as he refuses to give treat for new phone

Three teenagers stabbed a 16-year-old boy to death in Delhi's Shakarpur after he refused to treat them for buying a new phone, police said.

PTC News Desk: Three teenagers stabbed a 16-year-old boy to death in Delhi's Shakarpur after he refused to treat them for buying a new phone, police said.

Last evening, the victim Sachin was returning home with one of his friends after purchasing a new phone. On the way, they came across three boys, most likely the victim's friends. The teens asked him for a treat to celebrate the recent phone purchase.

Sachin refused, resulting in a heated dispute. This dispute escalated into a fight, in which one of the minor accused stabbed Sachin with a dagger.

According to police, a patrol team found blood stains on a street in Shakarpur last evening. "Upon investigation, residents informed them that a group of boys had stabbed one boy, who was taken to the hospital. About an hour later, PS Shakarpur received news from LNJP Hospital that a 16-year-old boy named Sachin R/o Shakarpur, Delhi-92, had been admitted and declared dead. During the inspection of the body, two stab wounds were found on the back," police stated.

Police have initiated a murder case and started looking for the accused.

To find the three teenagers, police used CCTV cameras from the crime scene as well as local intelligence. All three of them are 16 years old. The murder weapon was also recovered.
