Delhi government department's notice against AAP schemes triggers another AAP vs BJP row
The public notification came a day after AAP ministers, MLAs, and volunteers launched an extensive outreach campaign to register people for the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana'.
PTC News Desk: Two departments of the Delhi government triggered a massive row after they issued public notices cautioning the citizen against falling prey to misleading schemes launched by ruling party Aam Admi Party (AAP).
The public notification came a day after AAP ministers, MLAs, and volunteers launched an extensive outreach campaign to register people for the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana'. The department in its notice said that no such scheme as such exists and it has urged all the citizens to refrain from sharing personal information which could eventually lead to identity theft or financial fraud.
"It is clarified that no such scheme has been notified by the Delhi government," the communique said.
The issuance of notices has further added another depth to the ongoing tussle between AAP and bureaucracy with accusation smearing party.
"It is emphasized that since no such Scheme is in existence, the question of acceptance of the form/application for registration under this non-existent Scheme does not arise. Any private person/political party who is collecting forms/applications or collecting information from applicants in the name of this scheme is committing fraud and has no authority," it added.
On the other hand the health department also issued a similar notice while debunking claims regarding the "Sanjeevani Yojna" which assures free healthcare to 60 years and above citizens of the national capital. The notice has urged citizens to exercise caution to beware of the misleading information about free medical services.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the advertisements were issued under BJP's pressure and action would be taken against the officials.
