Despite seeking immediate relief from the Delhi High Court, Kejriwal faced a setback as his arrest was upheld, emphasising the complexity of the legal proceedings. The Enforcement Directorate's prosecution complaint, filed in November 2021, highlighted alleged irregularities in the liquor policy, implicating AAP leaders in facilitating clandestine cartel formations through intentionally designed loopholes.
