Delhi braces for heavy rain: More showers expected in surrounding areas over weekend

New Delhi, August 19: Following an extended period of scorching heat and stifling humidity, significant rainfall has graced portions of Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram today, offering much-awaited relief to the populace.

The downpour has brought about waterlogging in numerous sections of the national capital. Footage from Dwarka depicted vehicles navigating through inundated streets.


The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) has foreseen additional rainfall in the day ahead.

"Expect overcast skies. Occasional light rain or thunderstorms. Maximum and minimum temperatures are projected to hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius, correspondingly," stated the meteorological agency.
