Delhi: 5 Bangladeshi nationals including 11 arrested in connection with illegal immigration racket
According to the investigation, the accused used to facilitate Bangladeshi nationals to enter India via train, unauthorised routes using forged documents.
PTC News Desk: Delhi police have busted a an illegal immigration racket including illegal immigration of Bangladeshi citizens and arrested 11 people, including five Bangladeshi nationals. The accused have been arrested on the charges of forging fake documents.
Police recovered 21 fake Aadhaar cards, six PAN cards, and four voter IDs during the operation.
According to the investigation, the accused used to facilitate Bangladeshi nationals to enter India via train, unauthorised routes using forged documents. "The accused aided Bangladeshi nationals by fabricating counterfeit Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and other forged documents through a fraudulent website," DCP (South), Ankit Chauhan said.
The Delhi Police have launched an extensive operation to identify illegal immigrants residing in the national capital.
According to Delhi Police sources, over 1,000 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have been identified so far across the city.
Meanwhile Delhi LG has directed the Chief Secretary and the Commissioner of Police to launch a special drive for two months to identify illigal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in Delhi and take stringent action against them.
