PTC Web Desk: Students at an engineering college in Bihar's Banka allegedly found a dead snake in the food served to them at the college mess. According to the Times of India, at least 11 students became ill after eating the food and were rushed to the hospital with symptoms of nausea and vomiting. The students are now said to be in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the college administration acted quickly in the wake of the incident. It replaced the food vendor and fined the accused. Furthermore, the administration made it mandatory for the principal and teachers to have food with the students every day.
The incident took place just days after a Mumbai-based doctor discovered a half-inch piece of a human finger in their butterscotch ice cream cone, which was ordered online. Brendan Ferrao, 26, filed a complaint with the Malad police on June 12, and a case was registered against Yummo Ice Creams under sections 272, 273, and 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
