'Conspiracy to murder Arvind Kejriwal': Sanjay Singh responds to L-G's 'food' allegation
Sanjay Singh charged that the BJP was "messing" with Arvind Kejriwal's health.
PTC News Desk: Following reports on Sunday from Lt Governor VK Saxena that Arvind Kejriwal had been purposefully missing meals to induce self-sickness, AAP MP Sanjay Singh asserted that there was a plot to assassinate the chief minister of Delhi.
Sanjay Singh charged that the BJP was "messing" with Kejriwal's health during a press conference on Sunday. Kejriwal has been detained in Tihar jail since March 21.
"Health is being tampered with by the BJP for Arvind Kejriwal. They now claim that he has cut back on his food intake, contrary to what they initially said, which was that he was eating sweets and attempting to raise his blood sugar levels. Why would someone endanger their own life in this way? stated Singh.
"There is a conspiracy to kill Kejriwal," he stated.
According to the AAP, Kejriwal has lost eight kg of weight while he has been behind bars. It stated that the abrupt weight loss of the AAP chief might indicate a significant underlying illness.
"The medical report of Arvind Kejriwal is enough to tell that anything can happen to him at any time in the jail and the way Delhi LG and BJP are making wrong statements on Arvind Kejriwal's health confirms our doubt," Singh continued.

Saxena voiced concern over Kejriwal's "non-consumption" of the medical diet and medications that were recommended, according to a correspondence sent on Friday from the LG's office to the chief secretary.
The letter highlighted that Kejriwal's health situation is the subject of a report by the Superintendent (Prison) of Tihar Jail, which highlights the chief minister's multiple instances of "willful low-calorie intake" even though he receives enough home-cooked food.
On July 7, Kejriwal also declined to take insulin before supper, it was said.
The Enforcement Directorate had stated earlier this year that Kejriwal was consuming high-sugar cuisine to raise his blood sugar levels in order to qualify for medical bail.
The Enforcement Directorate detained Arvind Kejriwal in relation to the excise policy issue. He was given bail in the case last month by a lower court. Still, the CBI took him into custody. Later on, in the ED's case, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail.
Because of the CBI's case, he remains incarcerated.
The Delhi High Court was informed by Arvind Kejriwal's attorney that the former's blood sugar had fallen below 50 as he slept.
