A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing two men trying to rescue her from the pillar of the elevated flyover. A large number of people also gathered around the site.
Police reacted quickly to the incident, arriving on the scene and rescuing the girl. The two men attempting to save her were also rescued with the help of a trolley machine.
According to the authorities, all three were taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and the vehicle that collided with the girl's scooter was captured. "According to the information, a WagonR hit the girl's scooter. It has been impounded by police. We will ask the girl a few questions about the incident and then take appropriate action," said ADCP Manish Kumar Mishra.
