PTC News Desk: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud is all set to retire on November 10 and with his tenure concluding, Justice Sanjeev Khanna, senior most Judge in the apex court will succeed him. He will assume the office as the new Chief Justice of India on November 11. With a ceremonial farewell at the Supreme Court, he retired from judicial services on Friday.
While highlighting his initial days, outgoing CJI shed light on his initial days and said that those parts of the judiciary come to the court as “pilgrims".

His last working day was marked by significant ruling where Supreme Court overruled its 1967 verdict stating that Aligarh Muslim University is entitled to minority status.
