PTC News Desk: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh's non-profit 'YouWeCan Foundation' has been facing backlash over its breast cancer awareness campaign for using the word "oranges" to refer to breasts.

"Check your oranges once a month," says one of the creatives in the YouWeCan Foundation's ad, which seeks to spread the idea that early detection of breast cancer can save a life. The poster features a young woman standing in a bus, holding two oranges, as several older women sit. One of the old women carries a crate of oranges.

A user posted a photo of the ad pasted inside a Delhi Metro coach, criticising Yuvraj Singh's organisation and Delhi Metro for the poor use of imagery and words.

"How will a country raise breast cancer awareness if we can’t even call breasts what they are? Saw this at Delhi Metro and like what the hell? Check your oranges? Who makes these campaigns, who approves them? Are we governed by such dumb people that they let this poster become public?" the user wrote.

The user also tagged Yuvraj Singh and urged him to take down the campaign.

The user also slammed Delhi Metro officials and demanded that the ad be removed from the metro.

"This advertisement is one of the most tone-deaf advertisements I have ever seen. Will you put up any advertisement if someone pays you? Please remove this."

Another breast cancer awareness message from YouWeCan Foundation, posted on Instagram, reads: "How well do you know your oranges?"

"Have you checked your oranges lately?" reads another poster in the same thread.
