Chandrababu Naidu declares Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh's capital
N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party, declared on Tuesday that Amaravati would serve as the state capital, one day before he was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
PTC News Desk: The leader of the Telugu Desam Party, N Chandrababu Naidu, declared on Tuesday that Amaravati would serve as Andhra Pradesh's capital. In addition to promising to finish the Polavaram Project, Naidu declared that Amaravati will be the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.
He went on to say that Visakhapatnam will grow into an advanced special city and the nation's economic hub.
"Our capital shall be Amaravati. Instead of pursuing politics as a vendetta, we shall pursue constructive politics. The state's commercial hub will be Visakhapatnam. We won't engage in such nefarious acts as playing games with people like striving to have three capitals. Full mandate has been granted by Visakhapatnam. Chandrababu Naidu declared, "We will build Rayalaseema to give us a resounding mandate."

At the NDA Legislative Party gathering in Vijayawada, Chandrababu Naidu made the statement after being unanimously chosen to lead the alliance's House of Representatives.
K Pawan Kalyan, the chairman of the Jana Sena Party, put out his name, and freshly elected MP D Purandeswari, the president of the BJP, endorsed it.
To lodge a claim, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu travel to Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada.
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, promoted decentralized development in the state and won a landslide victory in 2019. Reddy had promised to establish Visakhapatnam as the administrative center and hold the oath of office there.
In December 2019, the YSRCP government proposed three capitals: Kurnool would be the judicial capital, Visakhapatnam would be the executive capital, and Amaravati would be the legislative capital.The YSRCP government was ordered by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in March 2022 to develop Amaravati as the state capital. The government appealed this ruling in the Supreme Court, where it is currently pending.
Naidu made a campaign vow to bring Amaravati development back to life. In an attempt to assert his claim to form the government, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu arrived to Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada today.
